Senior Project Manager – Payer Implementation Services

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for a variety of functions. The position requires Project and Implementation Management for any of our services, collection of documentation, and monitoring/maintaining those artifacts in Confluence.  The PM would also be responsible for project coordination and collaboration with dev resources internally and externally to ensure a successful implementation. This position will be part of the Implementation Services team primarily responsible for payer facing implementations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Independently manage small to large scale implementation projects and change requests
  • Accountable for utilizing and monitoring ten-step approach to implementation success:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects concurrently with changing priorities
  • Establishing/maintaining a project plan, collecting and publishing meeting notes, action items, and storing those artifacts in centralized collaboration tool
  • Responsible for coordinating the development of business specifications documents in conjunction with internal and external resources, and obtaining buy-in/sign-off from all stakeholders
  • Conduct user training on products as needed
  • Develop a working knowledge of present system functionality, and identify additional client needs
  • Maintain project schedule and strong working relationship with clients through regular weekly project cadence
  • Provide verbal and written communications in a concise, timely and appropriate manner
  • Effectively organize and prioritize client project tasks for timely completion

    Skills and Experience Required

    • 7-10 year direct technical experience in Project or Program Management in the medical billing, clearinghouse or bill review space
    • Competency with EDI transactions (X12, other formats) are required
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
    • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
    • Extensive project planning and priority management skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills are required
    • Proficient in MS Office including Project and Visio
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Successfully interfaces with various internal (sales, development, operations) and external constituents (customers, partners, etc.)
    • Knowledge of X12, proprietary, and banking transaction sets
    • Extensive experience in Property and Casualty, Healthcare, or medical billing/remittance

    • Background or experience with electronic payment solutions
    • Experience in writing/executing SQL queries
